Do You Want to See a Miracle

Miracles happen not just because of our faith but Love unlocks the supernatural power of God because He is Love.

When we are praying for a miracle for ourselves or for another person, we must come to the Lord not only in faith, but also with a heart of compassion and love. When we pray for a  miracle for ourselves, we must know that God is compassionate and that Jesus is moved with compassion. We must trust that He loves us and wants the best for us.  We can know that He will make a way where there seems to be no way because of His great love for us. Jesus is the Way! We can trust in the Lord’s compassion for us because the Bible is full of reminders of His great love.

 If we are praying for a miracle in a loved one’s life or in another person’s life then we should be praying for them out of a heart of compassion and love and trust that Jesus also loves them and so does our Father. If we are praying for a loved one out of a heart of judgment, condemnation, criticism, aggravation or frustration then we will not see the wonder working power of God at work. Love for another and compassion for someone else moves us to stand in the gap for them and pray for God’s mercy and love to be at work in their life. Evil is overcome by good. Hate is defeated and deflated by love. We forgive others because we have been forgive of so much. We pray for others because our heart is broken that they are wandering in darkness when we know that they don’t have to be in darkness any longer. We pray for others because we know that our Father loves them and wants to heal them, bless them, show them the Way, keep them from stumbling, give them hope and so much more!

Our prayers are hindered when we pray out of wrong motives. BUT: When we forgive others and love them with the love of Christ, seeing into their heart and not  judging by only what we see, but look deeper into that person’s heart and see that we are all in need of love and compassion and mercy and pray the same type of prayers for them that we pray for ourselves, then we will see miracles!

Any motives beyond love and compassion hinder our prayers.

Love and compassion and humility open doors – the doors to a move of God like we haven’t seen!

Look past the illness, the addiction, the pain, the lifestyle, the sin, the hatred, the darkness TO THE PERSON!

Every person, including yourself, equals a hurting heart and soul that Jesus bled and died and rose again for, so why wouldn’t He want to heal every person and set every person free?

Jesus was moved with compassion and healed! Mark 8:2, Mark 6:34, Matthew 15:32, 20:34, 14:14, 9:36 and God is compassionate! II Chronicles 30:9 and many more!

Get in on the love and compassion of our Father in Christ! Be unified in the Spirit of Love and power of Jesus!

Compassion and compassionate are in the Bible over 100 times as used to describe God, Jesus and those who are in Christ, believers in Christ.

Here is a link to the list of where compassion and compassionate – just those two words – are in the Bible (NIV)

And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will havecompassion.

and none of the condemned things are to be found in your hands. Then the Lord will turn from his fierce anger, will show you mercy, and will have compassion on you. He will increase your numbers, as he promised on oath to your ancestors—

But the Lord was gracious to them and hadcompassion and showed concern for them because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. To this day he has been unwilling to destroy them or banish them from his presence.

If you return to the Lord, then your fellow Israelites and your children will be showncompassion by their captors and will return to this land, for the Lord your God is gracious andcompassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.”

They refused to listen and failed to remember the miracles you performed among them. They became stiff-necked and in their rebellion appointed a leader in order to return to their slavery. But you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. Therefore you did not desert them,

“Because of your great compassion you did not abandon them in the wilderness. By day the pillar of cloud did not fail to guide them on their path, nor the pillar of fire by night to shine on the way they were to take.

So you delivered them into the hands of their enemies, who oppressed them. But when they were oppressed they cried out to you. From heaven you heard them, and in your greatcompassion you gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the hand of their enemies.

“But as soon as they were at rest, they again did what was evil in your sight. Then you abandoned them to the hand of their enemies so that they ruled over them. And when they cried out to you again, you heard from heaven, and in your compassion you delivered them time after time.

[ Psalm 51 ] [ For the director of music. A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba. ] Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.

When its twigs are dry, they are broken off and women come and make fires with them. For this is a people without understanding; so their Maker has no compassion on them, and their Creator shows them no favor.

The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.

[ Praise and Prayer ] I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us— yes, the many good things he has done for Israel, according to hiscompassion and many kindnesses.

After that, declares the Lord, I will give Zedekiah king of Judah, his officials and the people in this city who survive the plague, sword and famine, into the hands of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and to their enemies who want to kill them. He will put them to the sword; he will show them no mercy or pity or compassion.’

“This is what the Lord says: “‘I will restore the fortunes of Jacob’s tents and havecompassion on his dwellings; the city will be rebuilt on her ruins, and the palace will stand in its proper place.

then I will reject the descendants of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his sons to rule over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will restore their fortunes and have compassion on them.’”

“How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I treat you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboyim? My heart is changed within me; all mycompassion is aroused.

He prayed to the Lord, “Isn’t this what I said,Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity.

“I will strengthen Judah and save the tribes of Joseph. I will restore them because I havecompassion on them. They will be as though I had not rejected them, for I am the Lord their God and I will answer them.

Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.”

So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full ofcompassion and mercy.

Have You Lost Your Faith?

Have You Lost Your Faith?

Today we could ask ourselves a few questions in response to a time of prayer and reading Isaiah 29:13 – 30:1-22. Let us ask the Lord to speak to our hearts as we reflect on these scriptures.

Isaiah 29:13-24

13 The Lord says:

“These people come near to me with their mouth
and honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.

Their worship of me
is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

14 Therefore once more I will astound these people
with wonder upon wonder;
the wisdom of the wise will perish,
the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish.”
15 Woe to those who go to great depths
to hide their plans from the Lord,
who do their work in darkness and think,
“Who sees us? Who will know?”
16 You turn things upside down,
as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!
Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it,
“You did not make me”?
Can the pot say to the potter,
“You know nothing”?

17 In a very short time, will not Lebanon be turned into a fertile field
and the fertile field seem like a forest?
18 In that day the deaf will hear the words of the scroll,
and out of gloom and darkness
the eyes of the blind will see.
19 Once more the humble will rejoice in the Lord;
the needy will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

20 The ruthless will vanish,
the mockers will disappear,
and all who have an eye for evil will be cut down—
21 those who with a word make someone out to be guilty,
who ensnare the defender in court
and with false testimony deprive the innocent of justice.

22 Therefore this is what the Lord, who redeemed Abraham, says to the descendants of Jacob:

“No longer will Jacob be ashamed;
no longer will their faces grow pale.
23 When they see among them their children,
the work of my hands,
they will keep my name holy;
they will acknowledge the holiness of the Holy One of Jacob,
and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.

24 Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding;
those who complain will accept instruction.”

Isaiah 30: 1-22

1“Woe to the obstinate children,”
declares the Lord,
“to those who carry out plans that are not mine,
forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit,
heaping sin upon sin;

who go down to Egypt
without consulting me;
who look for help to Pharaoh’s protection,
to Egypt’s shade for refuge.

But Pharaoh’s protection will be to your shame,
Egypt’s shade will bring you disgrace.
Though they have officials in Zoan
and their envoys have arrived in Hanes,
everyone will be put to shame
because of a people useless to them,
who bring neither help nor advantage,
but only shame and disgrace.”

A prophecy concerning the animals of the Negev:

Through a land of hardship and distress,
of lions and lionesses,
of adders and darting snakes,
the envoys carry their riches on donkeys’ backs,
their treasures on the humps of camels,
to that unprofitable nation,
    to Egypt, whose help is utterly useless.
Therefore I call her
Rahab the Do-Nothing.

Go now, write it on a tablet for them,
inscribe it on a scroll,
that for the days to come
it may be an everlasting witness.
For these are rebellious people, deceitful children,
children unwilling to listen to the Lord’s instruction.

10 They say to the seers,
“See no more visions!”
and to the prophets,
“Give us no more visions of what is right!
Tell us pleasant things,
prophesy illusions.
11 Leave this way,
get off this path,
and stop confronting us
with the Holy One of Israel!”

12 Therefore this is what the Holy One of Israel says:

“Because you have rejected this message,
relied on oppression
and depended on deceit,
13 this sin will become for you
like a high wall, cracked and bulging,
that collapses suddenly, in an instant.
14 It will break in pieces like pottery,
shattered so mercilessly
that among its pieces not a fragment will be found
for taking coals from a hearth
or scooping water out of a cistern.”

15 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says:

“In repentance and rest is your salvation,
in quietness and trust is your strength,
but you would have none of it.

16 You said, ‘No, we will flee on horses.’
Therefore you will flee!
You said, ‘We will ride off on swift horses.’
Therefore your pursuers will be swift!
17 A thousand will flee
at the threat of one;
at the threat of five
you will all flee away,
till you are left
like a flagstaff on a mountaintop,
like a banner on a hill.”

18 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!

19 People of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. 20 Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them. 21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” 22 Then you will desecrate your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, “Away with you!”

Who or what have I been putting my faith in for the following:

Finances, Health, Peace, Joy, Contentment, Future, Security, etc…

Have I been relying on my own abilities or strengths?

Have I been relying on anyone or anything other than God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit??

Who do I go to first before I make any decisions about my life and any aspect of my life?

Where do I go for an escape from problems or unpleasant feelings and emotions?

What do I turn to or who do I turn to in difficult or trying times?

When and if – do I go to the LORD?

Do I wait until I realize there is no other answer or run out of all options before I go to the LORD?

Have I lost faith in the government for security?

Have I lost faith in the medical field to heal and prevent illnesses and injuries?

Have I lost faith in the justice system to actually see that justice is served and crime is prevented?

Have I lost faith in the general goodness of humanity?

If we have lost faith in everything that we have put our faith and trust in…

If we have no faith in God because we’ve only gone to Him as a last resort then…

We are actually in a good position to see a mighty move of God…

With the globalization of information taking place in the world today – we are uniquely positioned by the Lord for His glory to explode on the scene and for not just a revival to happen, but for God to move in power and in love upon the whole of the earth…

For those who wish to walk in the Light and to be blessed by the Lord and to walk in His love and power – the truth is being revealed and eyes are being opened.

For those who wish to keep rebelling against God and who want to keep their evil ways and serve their flesh and carnal desires – they will be fooled by the devil and by the delusion that God allows for them to continue therein. The Lord will allow the evil one to have his way on the earth for a season, to rule over evil men and women who refuse to acknowledge God and who have no desire to know Him or accept Jesus and His gift of love and compassion. However; the elect, those who love God and who know Him through His Son, Jesus Christ, will see through the lies and escape the schemes and control of the antichrist and his followers.

The light is being separated from the darkness more and more every day. The stark difference between what is true or right and what is wrong or false is becoming more visible every day. There is an acceleration in the spiritual realm where reaping and sowing is quickened. The withdrawal of the Lord’s hand from those who have rejected Him is allowing evil to increase but only for a short season.

This is why today is the day of salvation and Today if you hear His voice – do not turn Him away! If you feel drawn to Jesus at all, if you feel remorse at all for any evil deed – then turn to Jesus now and be cleansed by His blood today. Repent and be saved for the Holy Spirit will not bear with this world in its evil state forever – time will run out for the wicked – listen while He is calling and while He may be found. There is coming a day when you will not hear His voice if you refuse Him and you will be turned over to your own ways with no help, no Divine intervention – no second or 1000th chances. The heart of man is wicked and evil beyond imagination without the intervention of God.

People have lost faith in the media, the police, the government, the healthcare industry, pharmaceutical companies, pastors who preach religion and not the gospel, families, institutions, science, religion, and even grocery stores and manufacturers of food. The truth is coming to light my brothers and sisters – even with all of history and the best and brightest of human minds, all of the technological advances and all of the studies of humanity and physiology and the universe and nature and human nature —

Mankind does not have the answer to any of the ills or problems that plague us…

There is no world peace – only more war and violence – even in our local communities.

There is no cure for death and illness – only more illnesses and more drugs being prescribed and more health conditions caused by side effects. Longer lives do not equal greater quality of life.

We still age, we still get sick, and we still die.

We have no answer, no known way to truly determine how, when, where or who will die or be sick – no definite, without exception answer to cure sickness and death.

There are still poor and hungry people all over the world even in the richest nations and the ones with the most humanitarian aid.

There are still discriminations and disparities among all races and genders.

Greed, lust, pride, hatred and rebellion are all still serious moral shortcomings amongst us.

Mankind has not proven that he is better off without God!

Fear, depression and anxiety are at an all time high.

No pill, no drug, no remedy that man has conjured up has cured the mental, emotional and spiritual difficulties that come with being human.

For those with eyes and hearts to see – all of these truths are evident. To argue is vanity and a useless endeavor. The seeing comes from the Lord God Almighty who will reveal Himself to those who choose to want to see and who will come to Him through Jesus Christ, His Son. No one comes to God the Father unless through the Son, Jesus, whom God the Father loves.

If you wish to be on the side of the One who is Alpha and Omega and who has declared the end from the beginning – come to Jesus today and repent/turn from following your own way and trust in Jesus to be Your Lord and to lead and guide and teach you.

If you already know Jesus and are shouting Amen at the truth of His word – then we need to be walking in His power and authority and LOVE – sharing the good news of Jesus. Preach the word in faith, abiding in Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit – with boldness, power, love and self control and doing the works that Jesus did – healing, casting out demons, releasing the captives, setting those in bondage free – yes proclaiming release of the captives and restoring sight to the blind.

Rise up army of the Lord God Most High in the name of Jesus go forth and share the gospel, preaching, repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand … repent and be saved!

God bless each one!

Isaiah 29:13 – 30:26 Why Is God Angry and Isaiah 30:15 and Hebrews 4:1-13 Enter His Rest

October 17, 2014

I am typing up my devotion and quiet time notes for Oct. 17, 2014. This time of prayer and meditation turned out to be very productive as far as I had a lot that I wanted to get written down so that I would not forget what I was learning and being taught by my Lord. I felt led to share with you what I was compelled to write down and never forget.

Please seek the Lord’s face before you continue to read and ask Jesus to minister to you with the Holy Spirit’s presence and guidance into His Truth for the glory of the Father, in Jesus’ name.

Part of my prayer time was written: Thank You LORD, for so many answers to prayer and for being faithful and for upholding us and for teaching me more and more how to love. May Your love flow in us even more as a family and may we be vessels filled by You for Your use for Your glory. Thank You, LORD, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Bible reading:

Isaiah 29:13-30:26

Isaiah 29:13 The LORD says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men.”

Isaiah 29:22 Therefore this is what the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, says to the house of Jacob: “No longer will Jacob be ashamed; no longer will their faces grow pale. 23 When they see among them their children, the work of My hands, they will keep my name holy; they will acknowledge the holiness of the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the GOD of Israel. 24 Those who are wayward in spirit will gain understanding; those who complain will accept instruction.

In Isaiah 30:1-5 the LORD talks about His obstinate children who put their trust and hope in Egypt, or others, for help that He did not tell them to seek. The LORD did not lead Israel by His Spirit to form an alliance with Egypt. The people of Israel were carrying out plans that did not come from the LORD and they thought that they could find refuge and protection from Egypt.

Do we not do the same thing today? We chase after dreams and desires that come from our own selfish or misguided wants and make our own plans that do not come to us by the LROD’S Spirit. Instead of teaching our children to ask the LORD for direction and to hear His voice of guidance for their lives, we tell them to do well in school and choose a career of ease and with the most earning potential and we push them to conform to the pattern of the world. And we, also, seek the highest paying jobs and the paths of least resistance without seeking what the LORD’S will is for us or finding out what path He wants for us to take. (I am not putting down anyone who seeks a professional career. It is not wrong to be wealthy or successful in the world’s eyes, necessarily – what is wrong is seeking our own way with no regard for our Father and without seeking His blessing and His favor or His heart for us.)

Today, we as a people, even followers of Jesus, do not really know what it means to hear His voice and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Instead, we believe that if we follow certain rules or guidelines and do our best to stay within those guidelines, then everything will work out for us.

Instead of looking to Egypt today for our protection or refuge, we look to many other man made sources of help, safety, protection, refuge and guidance. Instead of always consulting our LORD first and foremost in any and all decisions that we make –  we check into what the latest report is from the world on just about any issue, need or problem that we have. We make our own plans and consult the world about how to carry them out. We come up with our own means to success, our own definition of success, our own plans to prosper ourselves and then we check what everyone else has done or is doing to see how we should do it the best and fastest and easiest way.

When we run into a problem or a snag we don’t first go to the LORD for the answer. Instead, we seek advice from every other outlet. We look to the news, we look to scientific research, we check with our doctors, we look to education, we expect the government to have all of the answers (or we used to), and we expect the world to have figured it out or have a cure or an answer somewhere. Egypt for the world today and believers today is science, modern medicine, politics, government and its agencies, horoscopes, numerology, psychology, man made weapons of this world and the advice of friends and family.

Does humankind really believe we have all of the answers or that we have figured it all out to where we do not need our Creator?

All of this that Israel did angered the LORD, greatly, mainly because He knew that mere man, even a nation of men, cannot protect His people from calamity, destruction or disease. Man’s best efforts cannot totally protect him from harm – especially when he is disregarding the natural order of things as they were created to perform and the information given to him in the Bible regarding how to live on this earth and be blessed. The LORD set forth guidelines to protect us because He knows how intricately all things work together that have been created and He knows what will harm us and what will not harm us and what will actually benefit us. Also, He alone has the supernatural power and vision and knowledge to protect us when we do make mistakes and open doors for illness or destruction to ourselves. God is able to supernaturally protect us from pests, plagues, disasters, enemies and even consequences of our own actions. He is more inclined to protect us in this way when we are seeking Him and looking to Him for this kind of help. Wouldn’t you rather help someone who wants you to help them?

The LORD is angered by Israel’s refusal to listen to Him, their refusal to follow Him and their refusal to look to Him for guidance, help and love. But, He also still loves them and longs to meet their every need – even the need for rebuke and/or punishment to get them back to doing life the way that will ultimately give them greater peace, joy and fulfillment. Because God loves His people and all mankind, all humanity, He will never just let us go our own way and do whatever we, in our limited understanding, think feels good or seems OK or right. The LORD always steps in before we totally destroy ourselves and it is because of His love that He does this.

Isaiah 30:18 “Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; He rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!

With God being a God of justice – if He allows the wicked to do whatever they want and use up other people and oppress the poor and needy and store up wealth for themselves and deprive others and not care about the needs of others – then He would not be a God of justice. However; He is just! He will not allow the wicked to abuse others forever. He gives the wicked and rebellious time and chances to repent and to turn to Him and He does not allow the suffering of others to go on and on. He has compassion on the sinner and the rebellious, as well as those who suffer for His cause or as a result of sin in the world.

Only a Holy and Righteous and All Knowing God, full of love and mercy, justice and grace – could tend to the balance of all of this! Oh, LORD, how Amazing is Your great love for all! How awesome is Your ability to reign and rule and be just and compassionate! Your ways truly are so much higher than our own and Your understanding so much more than we could ever fathom! (Isaiah 55:8-9) We praise You our God!

Isaiah 30:15 This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.”

That verse makes me remember Hebrews 4:1-13 where the writer of Hebrews relates to us that Today is the day of salvation and that the promise of entering God’s rest still stands. Those who do not believe, who do not walk by faith in Jesus will not enter His rest. The gospel is of no value to those who do not combine the message of the gospel with faith.  When we still trust in our own works or righteousness to please God or to earn His forgiveness we are falling short of His rest.

Hebrews 4:1 “Therefore, since the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. 2 For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; BUT THE MESSAGE THEY HEARD WAS OF NO VALUE TO THEM, BECAUSE THOSE WHO HEARD DID NOT COMBINE IT WITH FAITH.

Hebrews 4:3 Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, ‘So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ‘And yet His work has been finished since the creation of the world. 4 For somewhere He has spoken about the seventh day in these words: ‘And on the seventh day God rested from all His work.’ 5 And again in the passage above He says, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ 6 It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience. 7 Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later He spoke through David, as was said before: ‘Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.’ 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9 There remains, the, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His. 11 Let us; therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience. 12 For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”

What is missing today from those of us who profess Christ, who have knowledge of His teachings and believe they are good and true but lack the power of God in our lives? Could it be that faith is what is missing? Could it be that putting those professions of faith and beliefs in Jesus and in the power of God and the work of the Holy Spirit into practice is what will truly bring forth the movement of God that we have been thirsting for in our country and in our lives?

Let us put our trust in Jesus – turn from following our own understanding and making our own plans and rest in Christ’s finished work and walk in the healing, victory over sin and darkness, peace, authority of His name and Holy Spirit power that He was beaten, bled and died and was resurrected and ascended unto heaven for – our freedom and that freedom is to be used to bring sight, open deaf ears, heal the sick, release the prisoners and set the captives free and to cast out the powers of evil. Let’s stop striving to be forgiven and start living to love.

How to Respond to Ebola Fears and the Increase of Evil Today

I also felt led today to make a video with the verses that I was studying today which started out in Psalm 46. I felt like these verses were of a prophetic voice and went to expand upon that idea. I am going to post some of the verses that I talk about in the video. Please be of good courage and know that your faith is in the right place when you trust Jesus. Our God knows the beginning from the end!!! 🙂 ❤ Praise the Lord and glory and honor be to God our Father and His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, and our Comforter, the God’s Holy Spirit!

With the increase of evil in the world around us and with threats like Ebola staring us in the face, what are we as believers in Christ to do? For one, our faith is called upon to persevere to the end – whatever that end may be. Also, we are called to love one another. So let us prepare our hearts and turn them towards Jesus all the more so that our love and our faith are strengthened to last through the trials and tribulations to come.
Psalm 46:6-11
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see what the Lord has done,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease
to the ends of the earth.
He breaks the bow and shatters the spear;
he burns the shields[a] with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.

Matthew 24:12-13
12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

John 13:34-35
34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Isaiah 46:10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’

(Bible verses copied and pasted from and are from the NIV version)
