I Thessalonians 5:23-24 May God Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The One who calls you is faithful and He will do it.
A correct response to our own sin in our life:
Psalm 38:1-4 and 6-8
O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in Your wrath. For Your arrows have pierced me, and Your hand has come down upon me. Because of Your wrath there is no health in my body; my bones have no soundness because of my sin. My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear. I am bowed down and brought very low; all day long I go about mourning. My back is filled with searing pain; there is no health in my body. I am feeble and utterly crushed; I groan in anguish of heart.
Psalm 38: 18 I confess my iniquity; I am troubled by my sin.
Psalm 68:4 Sing to God, sing praise to His name, extol Him who rides on the clouds – His name is the Lord – and rejoice before Him.
Psalm 138:3 When I called, You answered me; You made me bold and stouthearted.
Psalm 138:8 The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your love, O Lord, endures forever – do not abandon the works of Your hands.
