Prayer from October 22, 2011 6:30 a.m.

Dear Lord, I thank You so much for Your work and blessings in my life. I can’t even begin to list everything. Thank You especially for Your presence and for speaking to my heart and for continuing to renew and transform me. Thank You, Lord, for the transformation in my family, too. We are so much happier and fulfilled and You meet all of our needs. Thank You for increasing our faith and helping us to persevere. We see You at work, restoring and re-building and causing all things to work together for our good. We praise You, Heavenly Father! We glorify You, Jesus! Praises to the Great I Am! Lord, I worship You – I thank You that You inhabit our praise. I thank You, Lord, that Your  mercies are new every  morning. I thank You, that the heavens declare Your glory – I see You in the sunrise, the sunset, everywhere – all day – and I praise You, Lord.

Father, fill us with Your Holy Spirit – convict us where we need to improve – help us let go of distractions and hindrances. Help us be totally devoted to You, alone. Speak to us through Your Word as we seek You every day. Mold us into vessels to be used by You. May Your Holy Fire burn within us – taking away impurities and refining us for Your service. Create a clean heart within us, Lord. Renew a right spirit within us. Grow us up in You. Lead us, guide us, and comfort and encourage us. We thank You for Your favor. Make the desires of our hearts match Your desires, O Lord. May Your will be done in our lives, rule us with Your just causes. Put a burden in our hearts for Your will to be done in our lives so that we may bring glory and honor unto You, Lord, Jesus. Be the words that we speak and help us, cause us, to be a blessing to others. O Lord, help us to bring others to You, to know You and to know not only Your love for them, but to truly know You. Help me to not be a hindrance to anyone. I thank You, Lord, that You are completing and will complete the work You have begun in us. I commit all of me to You, Lord.

Please be over and direct the nursing home service this Sunday and the next. Please guide and be in control over my part in it and help work out all the details.

Please open or close the door to me volunteering at the North Jefferson Women’s Center according to Your will.

Please increase and encourage Jerry’s desire to serve You and show him which way to go. Open only the doors You want for Jerry to walk through. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit and set Jerry on fire for Jesus! Give him courage and boldness for You. Open Jerry’s spiritual eyes and ears to hear from You, Lord – and then give him the desire; the yearning, to share You with those who do not know You. Increase Jerry’s and my hunger for Your Word, our thirst for Your Spirit. As we seek You, draw us ever nearer that we may abide in You. Let us NOT drift away from You, Lord, keep us close, Father. Let us not become complacent! Let us NOT take our relationship with You for granted. May we NEVER return to the state of depravity that You have raised us out of.

Lord, I thank You that You are in control of Dec. 2, 2011 (a court date we had) it is no surprise to You and we trust You! -continued aloud because my hand is tired, lol.

This blog is for anyone who wants to know more about Jesus and His love and how faith in Him plays out in real life application. Hello, we are Jerry and Angela and we are two fools for Christ. We have decided to make our lives totally surrendered to Jesus in response to His love and His gift of salvation. We are in our early 40′s and we have two children together and [Angela has] an older daughter that is now an adult. We have been married to each other for going on ten years. We surrendered our lives to the Lord together in 2010 and have been growing in that relationship with Him and each other since that time. We both accepted salvation and made professions of faith earlier in our lives, but did not make Him Lord and Savior until 2010. At that time we realized that trying to walk in our own strength and our own ways was useless and empty and had led us to another rock bottom experience. We humbly turned our lives over to Jesus and have been seeking Him with all that we are ever since. That does not mean that we have become perfect. That does not mean that we have not sinned again. That does not mean that we have not had trouble or trials or storms since that time. What this means is that we are growing, we are learning, we are becoming more loving and compassionate and forgiving. We want to share our faith with our readers. We want to share our growth process and transformation with you. We wish to encourage you and lift you.
