It’s ok to work, to go to school or college, to play sports, to pursue hobbies and to use your gifts and talents. It is good to do such things and to pursue greatness in these areas. But do all of these things as if unto the Lord and for His glory.
Everything that a Christ follower does should glorify the Father, whether in word or in action. The motives of our hearts should be to bring glory to God and to know Him more as we abide in Christ and are filled with the Holy Spirit. The fuel for our lives should be the passion that comes from the Lord and the Power that we get from Him.
We should no longer live lives that are powerless. We should be living lives that are loving, bold, stable, and filled with His power. We should not be living lives that are filled with a knowledge about God and His Word, but are powerless and defeated. We need to stop having a form or an appearance of godliness, but lack or deny His power at work in us. Then we will be making an impact for the Kingdom of God and we will be living the lives that God has purposed for us to live.
Call to action: As you spend time with the Lord in prayer and in reading the Bible – pay attention to the desires that He puts into your heart and what He causes you to become passionate about and ask of Him to show you where He would like to use you today. Ask Him to fill you with His Spirit and anoint you for that purpose. Be open each day for Him to pour out His Spirit into you and be a vessel of His glory and power and love…. Be willing to be used by the Lord. He is willing to use you if you love Him. He knows your heart and He loves you. He wants to love those around you through you. God wants to pour out His power into you and be glorified in your life. God bless you!
